Get Free Pay As You Go Sim Cards For Your Mobile Phone
I am a complete money savvy person and love making the most of free stuff. Not because I want a free ride in life, but because like everyone else, I’ve already got an almost never ending list of expenses and I welcome any help available to keep those expenses down to a minimum. After all, we all work hard to bring in an income.
I can’t help but notice how many shops, websites and even mobile phone companies are selling sim cards that mobile phone companies themselves are more than willing to give away for free!
And because I know they are free, it makes me want to actually pay for them a whole lot less. It makes me feel like they are ripping off the unknowing customer and makes me cautious as to what else they might be trying to sell to me that I can get for free.
How do the shops, websites and even the mobile phone companies get away with selling sim cards then, if they are available for free?
Despite what it feels like; they are not really trying to rip us off, they are simply trying to bring in extra customers. Believe it or not, it’s actually incredibly difficult trying to convince someone that they can have something is for free and that’s why they also sell such items.
We often feel better if we’ve paid for something because it makes us fully believe we own it. If you’ve ever had someone in the street trying to offer you something for free, I bet your first though is ‘what’s the catch or show me the small print’. Even when reading the small print, we sometimes still walk away not believing it if it seems too good to be true. And in most cases you would probably be right, ‘if something seems too good to be true, it usually is’.
But rest assured, you can get ‘pay as you go’ sims for your mobile phone for free.
So why are the phone companies willing to give them away for free?
The phone companies realise that if you have one of their Sim cards then it’s more than likely because you want to use it. And to use it, you will eventually have to pay to top up your phone credit (which is where they make their income). They give away free sim cards and make up the loss of money from your phone top ups.
They also gain another valued customer who they hope will use their service, talk about it and recommend them to friends. (Optional of course)
Sometimes they are so keen on getting new customers that they are even willing to give away some extra freebies, such as £5.00 free phone credit when you top up your first £10.00. This doesn’t mean these companies are desperate and about to go bankrupt, it just means they have a good marketing technique in place and they want customers to feel happy enough to talk to friends about them.
Ok I believe you now, but come on! There has got to be small print?
Well, they usually give you a limit on how many you can have per household. This is to stop people ordering a batch of 300 and reselling them.
Also they make ask you for your email address. Again, this is a marketing technique and they want to be able to keep you up to date on their latest products in hope you might purchase something (Optional of course). Reputable companies will not spam you with a 100 emails a day as it would ruin their reputation, but they may email you once a week, once a month or something on a similar time scale.
My personal note to you: You should always read terms and conditions for your self as they can change from time to time
